# Orbit AI: AI Chat, Workspaces, and Automations

> Orbit AI is a browser app with desktop and mobile clients for AI chat, voice, workspaces, automations, history, billing, and developer tools.

Orbit AI is a browser application with Electron desktop and Capacitor mobile clients. It gives you a single place to chat with AI, manage workspaces and automations, review your conversation history, and control your account, billing, and privacy settings. The app also includes a developer platform and an advertiser dashboard for teams building on or advertising with Orbit.

## Main areas

| Area | What you can do |
| - | - |
| **Chat** | Start or continue AI conversations, attach files, and use voice input. |
| **History** | Search, rename, and manage past chat threads. |
| **Workspaces** | Switch between shared or personal workspaces to organize projects and access. |
| **Automations** | Build and run agents, workflows, and mission-control tasks. |
| **Settings** | Update your profile, avatar, privacy, and account preferences. |
| **Billing** | View your plan, token balance, and payment history. |
| **Support** | Reach out for help with your account or features. |
| **Developer platform** | Integrate Orbit completions and agents into external apps. |
| **Advertiser dashboard** | Manage campaigns, targeting, and auction bids. |

## Key concepts

* **Account and session:** Your identity is managed through Supabase Auth, with optional multi-factor authentication (MFA) for added security.
* **Workspace:** A shared or personal context that groups projects, automations, and members. Your selected workspace is stored locally on your device.
* **Thread and history:** Chat conversations are persisted remotely so you can search and resume them from any device.
* **Entitlement and plan:** Your plan, token balance, and any redeemed access codes determine which models and features are available to you.
* **Automations:** Workspace-scoped workflows and agents that can run tasks through Supabase Edge Functions.

## Feature capability guide

The following matrix shows what you may see in Orbit AI and what is required for each capability.

| Capability | What you may see | Requirements and limits |
| - | - | - |
| Account creation | Email/password sign-up and optional profile image URL | Auth service must accept new registrations; email verification may be required |
| Sign-in and recovery | Password sign-in, email reset, MFA challenge | Inbox access and authenticator access may be required |
| Onboarding | Profile, user type, goals, usage, plan recommendation | Plan recommendation requires catalog data; responses can be revisited only if backend permits |
| AI chat | Prompt composer, model/mode controls, response stream/status | AI function and a provider/model must be configured; quotas and entitlements apply |
| Chat attachments | File picker and preview handling | Formats, maximum sizes, persistence, and extraction vary by route/provider |
| Images | Image prompt/result handling and asset entries | Generator must be enabled; generated result should be reviewed before reuse |
| Voice | Microphone and spoken interaction controls | Device/browser permissions, network, speech providers, and platform support |
| Chat history | Search, filters, sort, open conversations | Requires signed-in account and successful library queries |
| Workspaces | Switch, create, join, favorite workspaces | Membership and backend workspace RPCs/policies required |
| Project building | Project or desktop portal route | Protected account; local/desktop actions depend on platform and entitlement |
| Agents and automation | Source contains pages and functions | Main links currently redirect; ask administrator for current availability |
| Billing | Pricing, payment session, billing portal | Provider configuration, plan catalog, and account eligibility required |
| Support | Support page and feedback surface | Backend availability and user permissions |
| Developer tools | Protected developer area and public developer docs | Access and API-related capabilities may be plan-dependent |
| Staff and admin | Staff workspace, administration, analytics | Requires server-backed staff/admin permissions; not for ordinary users |
| Desktop updates | Update controls in Electron integration | Electron runtime and a published update feed |
| Account deletion | Confirmation flow and deletion function | Function/policies must be deployed; timing and retention are policy matters |
