Orbit Audience Engine stores all monetary values as integer micros. This page explains the money model, when charges occur, how fraud is handled, and how to read the advertiser ledger.

Micros money model

Money is stored as integer micros. One whole unit equals 1,000,000 micros.
Example: 1 USD = 1,000,000 micros. A CPM bid of 5.00 USD is stored as 5000000 micros.

Charge points

Transactional charge steps

Each charge follows these steps in a single database transaction:
  1. Lock the campaign and balance row
  2. Verify daily and total budget limits
  3. Verify available organization balance
  4. Update campaign spend
  5. Update organization balance
  6. Insert an immutable ledger entry into advertiser_transactions

Fraud handling

Fraud-flagged activity remains measurable but is not billable. Examples include sub-350ms clicks and duplicate clicks, which the Advertising API flags as suspicious.

Advertiser ledger and balances

  • advertiser_transactions: the immutable ledger for deposits, charges, and refunds
  • advertiser_balances: the current organization-level balance

Funding

Production funding and invoices attach to Orbit’s existing Stripe architecture. No second payment provider is introduced.
Specific pricing, minimum deposits, and invoice schedules depend on your Orbit agreement. Contact your account representative for details.
