Orbit AI is an emerging technology initiative focused on making artificial intelligence more useful across the work people already do. Its central product direction is an integrated AI workspace: a place where people can reason through problems, write, research, create software, work with files, and gradually connect AI assistance to real applications and workflows. The broader ambition extends beyond a single chat interface. Orbit’s long-term vision includes its own model research under the Pulsar name, developer APIs, agent-based workflows, application integrations, and, subject to substantial engineering and safety work, intelligent devices and robotics. The guiding idea is straightforward: intelligence becomes valuable when it can help people complete meaningful tasks, while remaining understandable, controllable, and accountable. Orbit should therefore be developed as a coherent platform rather than a collection of disconnected demos. The workspace, model layer, tool integrations, permissions, developer experience, and operational systems need to fit together. A polished interface is useful, but it is not a substitute for reliable engineering, honest capability claims, security, or product-market fit. Orbit’s mission is not to claim that every future capability already exists. It is to build a path from practical software toward more capable, well-governed intelligent systems.
