Orbit AI gives you control over your privacy. Personalized advertising and product analytics are opt-in, while essential analytics for operational security and reliability cannot be disabled. This page explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.

What is opt-in

You choose whether to enable:
  • Personalized advertising — ads tailored to inferred interests
  • Product analytics — data used to improve features and user experience
Consent is stored as a current state plus an immutable, timestamped history so you can see when and how your preferences changed.

What cannot be disabled

Essential analytics are limited to operational security and reliability. These cannot be turned off because they are necessary to keep the platform safe and stable.

Data never used for ads

The following categories are explicitly denied advertising eligibility and are never used to target ads:
  • Raw prompts and messages
  • Credentials and contact details
  • Payment data
  • Precise location
  • Sensitive traits, including health, religion, politics, legal issues, race or ethnicity, and sexual orientation
The client minimizer removes raw text and identifying keys before collection, and server collectors repeat this validation.

How advertisers see your data

Advertisers receive aggregates only. Advertising delivery uses a one-way advertising-key hash, never your Orbit user ID. This means advertisers cannot identify individual users.

Data lifecycle

  • Raw events expire after a retention period
  • Interests decay over time with a 30-day half-life, so older activity has less influence on ad targeting

Manage your preferences

You can inspect broad interests, reset them, or delete your advertising profile entirely from /settings/privacy.
